Physical concepts are free creations of the human mind, and are not, however it may seem, uniquely determined by the external world.

The perspective I bring to my work:

Despite what the world may throw your way,
you get to decide how it affects you.
You control how you think, feel, and act.

When you blame circumstances or other people, you give away your power.

The agency to take responsibility for your life—whether you react or respond— is always available to you.

This is how you shift your reality.

I help you harness your agency by aligning you holistically using coaching and Spinal Energetics.

What is Spinal Energetics (“SE”)?

Spinal Energetics is a healing modality conceived by Dr. Sarah Jane, which combines Eastern and Western medical and spiritual teachings. It is based on the premise that the body has innate intelligence and an inherent capacity for self-healing.

The main focus of Spinal Energetics is to help the body process stuck trauma (physical knots and tension, emotional and mental blockages) so recipients can go about their lives with more ease.

Those who are sensitive can feel its effects, but regardless, it benefits all. Many feel relaxed and rejuvenated after sessions, though some experience a more cathartic release, such as in holotropic breathwork.

I lovingly refer to SE as “aggressive Reiki”. Like Reiki, it is channeled energy, but the applied technique makes it more intense. In SE, there’s more precision in how the energy is directed and used.

I’ve made some Instagram Reels about SE. Please find them on my Instagram page: @openhandsenergy

What happens in a session?

We will start with a check-in to discuss how you feel and what may be going on in your life presently (because this will be reflected in your body).

Then, I will invite you to lay down flat so I can access your spine to tap into your nervous system and energy field. By using deliberate sounds (my Spotify playlist and my breathing) and specific movements, I direct energy to your body so it can work through blockages (through physical movement, breathing, or even internal processing). Emotions, images, and feelings might arise, but overall, you will experience more ease in your body.

The energy healing portion usually takes about 20 minutes. However, it may be shorter or longer depending on how each client responds to the treatment (and this can be different every time). I also leave room for “grounding” after sessions to sit, relax, and regroup.

What can you expect after a session?

Everyone is different, and each session is different, so it is difficult to say exactly. Most clients new to SE experience fatigue for the first couple of days after treatment. If you processed a lot during the session, then it could take longer to return to "baseline”. However, you should feel relief either in understanding which interpersonal aspect to focus on next, or you will feel more ease in your day to day.

The more sessions one has, the easier and quicker it becomes to access and process stored trauma. And the more you work with the same practitioner (assuming you have a good relationship), the deeper the access to those stored traumas can be.

Can SE be combined with other modalities?

Because we are working on releasing stored trauma, I find SE to be a great addition to other interpersonal work such as therapy and coaching. This is because the body maintains a record of everything that happens to us and the state of its health is a reflection of how aligned we are with living our purpose/truth. Coaching sessions help address issues on a cognitive level, while SE helps process awareness on a physical and subconscious level.
